Участники Бизнес-миссии АИП представили в Японии инвестиционные возможности индустриальных парков
Japan hosts the 7th annual AIP business mission to attract partners to implement investment projects and localize production in Russia, co-organized by the Japanese association ROTOBO, with the support of the Russian Embassy in Japan and the Trade Representation of Russia in Japan.
As part of a business mission, investment seminars were held in Kobe and Tokyo on May 14-15, during which delegation members told representatives of Japanese companies about the features of doing business and presented the possibilities of locating production facilities in Russia.
As the Counselor-Envoy, Deputy Mission Director of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Japan Dmitry Birichevsky, noted, every year the economic relations between Russia and Japan become more active, and the traditional business mission of AIP and ROTOBO is a notable part of bilateral business dialogue.
In the course of presenting investment opportunities and for locating the production of Japanese companies in Russia, AIP Executive Board Co-Chairman Maxim Pazdnikov and AIP Executive Director Denis Zhuravsky presented the Association's services for foreign investors, including the selection of a site for locating production and finding suppliers.
The management of the AIP of Russia and members of the Association held meetings and negotiations on further cooperation with Japanese companies and large financial organizations, including the investment unit of Mizuho Bank, Ltd.
A member of the Board (Minister) for industry and the agro-industrial complex of the Eurasian Economic Commission told about the peculiarities of work in the market of a single customs area of the Eurasian Economic Union, whose participants, besides Russia, are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The investment seminars of the Business Mission were attended by 80 representatives of Japanese companies, some of which, following the results of the events, expressed readiness to locate production facilities in Russia.
The Russian delegation included: the Ulyanovsk Region Development Corporation, the Kaluga Region Regional Development Agency, the Avangard Industrial Park (Khabarovsk Territory), the Middle Urals Development Corporation, the Siberia Agro-Industrial Park.
The AIP and the Japanese Association for Trade with Russia ROTOBO have jointly organized annual business missions since 2013 and are constantly working to promote the Industrial Parks of Russia brand and advise Japanese businesses on the conditions of the project, including on the selection of locations, attracting suppliers and contractors and staffing.
Japan is one of the most promising economies in the world in terms of attracting direct industrial investment in Russia. To date, 69 manufacturing enterprises with full or partial Japanese participation have already been implemented in Russia. Including 20 Japanese enterprises located in industrial parks and the Russian SEZ, among them - Yokohama, Komatsu, Hitachi, Bridgestone, ISUZU. The accumulated investments of Japanese corporations in the creation of production facilities in Russian industrial parks and the special economic zone exceeded 55.6 billion rubles.
Now a few more Japanese manufacturing enterprises of corporations are at the stage of developing a project and choosing a production site.
